| I will discuss the nonlinear nature of gravitational instability and its relation to the emergence of non-Gaussianity in the large-scale structure of the Universe. I will consider in particular the effects on higher-order correlation functions of the matter distribution due to departures from the standard LambdaCDM cosmology with two examples from the early and the low-redshift Universe: primordial non-Gaussianity from inflation and clustering quintessence. |
