« Constraining cosmological parameters with SPT-3G 2019/2020 »

Etienne Camphuis
Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris (Paris, France)

The South Pole Telescope is a ground-based experiment observing the CMB anisotropies in temperature and polarization with unprecedented high resolution and low noise levels. The final data set will allow to put constraints on cosmological parameters at least as good as the worshipped Planck satellite, and twice better when combined with it. With such precision, we will be able to explore new models that try to solve current cosmological tensions. My PhD focuses on doing the cosmological analysis from the maps. In this YMCA, I will try to guide you through Hell, or building a likelihood for a state-of-the-art CMB experiment.
