« Two new hot Saturns characterized with SOPHIE & TESS » |

We report the detection and characterization of two new transiting exoplanets initially found by TESS, namely TOI-1199 b and TOI-1273 b. The two objects lie in short period orbits (3.7 and 4.6 days respectively) around bright solar type stars. A follow up of the candidates with ground-based light curves and radial velocities obtained with SOPHIE, allowed us to confirm the planetary nature of the transits and calculate their physical and orbital parameters. We carried out a joint bayesian modeling of the light and RV curves, and sampled the posterior distributions with a Hamiltonian Monte Carlo method. The analysis reveals masses of 0.23±0.02 MJ and 0.22±0.01 MJ, radii of 0.94±0.04 RJ y 1.06±0.25 RJ and bulk densities of 0.35±0.05 g cm-3 and 0.22±0.10 g cm-3 for TOI-1199 b and TOI-1273 b, respectively. The two objects are located in the hot Saturn parameter space, and have circular compatible orbits. In particular, TOI-1273 b has a grazing orbit. We analyze the potential for future atmospheric characterization, finding that both planets are good candidates. |
