« Black Holes in Loop Quantum Gravity: counting the microstates » |
Karim Noui |
Loop Quantum Gravity (LQG) provides a framework where it is possible to describe in a quite simple way the fundamental microstates of a Black Hole. It has been shown that the microstates are closely related to the physical states of a Chern-Simons theory with gauge group SU(2). After a (very) brief review of LQG, we are going to show the precise relation between SU(2) Chern-Simons theory and the Schwarzchild Black Holes in LQG. Then, we will describe the Hilbert space of the Black Hole microstates and finally we will show how the counting of microstates leads to the Bekenstein-Hawking formula for the entropy provided the Immirzi parameter is fixed to a particular value. |
