« Dark matter and Hawking radiation, using BlackHawk to constrain primordial black holes » |
Jeremy Auffinger |
Despite decades of intensive research, the nature of Dark Matter remains a mystery. The detection of gravitational
waves from stellar black hole mergers and the observation of the shadow of the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxie M87 have revived strong interest in an exotic candidate for dark matter: primordial black holes. The abundance of primordial black holes and thus the fraction of dark matter they can represent are severely constrained. In this seminar, I will review some aspects of the constraints linked to Hawking radiation and present very recent work on warm dark matter creation by primordial black holes and Hawking radiation in alternative black hole solutions.
