| Gravitational wave observations of the inspiral and merger of stellar mass and supermassive black holes offer a unique opportunity to test post-Newtonian theory to a high order and thereby test predictions of general relativity in the strong gravity regime. In this talk I will discuss the accuracy with which we might be able to carry out such tests using observations in advanced ground-based interferometers and LISA. |
