« Cosmological Effects from Nonlocal Gravity » |
T. Koivisto |
Nonlocal quantum corrections to gravity have been recently proposed as a possible solution to the cosmological fine tuning problems. I talk about the class of nonlocal actions defined by function of the inverse d''Alembertian of the Ricci scalar. In these, the cosmological acceleration can be seen as a consequence of matter domination and does not require introduction of new scales. The effect of corrections during inflation however seems problematical. In addition, I discuss the stability and causality of these models, and their implications to the structure formation and Solar system experiments. |
