| I shall present in a hopefully comprehensible way the Hamiltonian formulation of various f(Riemann) gravity theories, starting with a review of Einstein''s f(Riemann)=R and f(R) theories. I will try to show how this can be useful, in particular to define the energy of black hole spacetimes and to study the stability of the theories. |
