« Forward modelling large scale tracers of initial conditions »

George Stein
Thésitif - Canadian Inst. Theor. Astroph. (CITA) (Toronto, Canada)

Large scale structure simulations are required for a large number of problems in cosmology. When huge ensembles of mock halo catalogues are needed, traditional N-body methods are not fast enough. I will discuss a CITA led effort to use “approximate” methods, such as the Peak Patch approach, to develop mocks for next generation future surveys such as Euclid, CMB-s4, and COMAP.
