« What we can learn from strong gravitational lenses? » |
Ben Metcalf |
Large scale imaging surveys such as Euclid will drastically change the number of known gravitational lenses. This will transform the field of strong lensing in several ways. There is first the problem of finding the lenses in massive data sets and then the question of what we can learn from them about galaxy structure, dark matter and cosmology. I will review work being done on all these fronts and what we might expect to learn in the future. |
