« Overview about the P9 question : from KBO clustering to the solar oblatness »

In this presentation I will discuss the hypothesis of the existence of an unseen super-earth planet at the limit of our solar system, called in the media, P9. This planet was proposed as an explanation for a very specific clustering of some KBO objects by Batygin and Brown in 2016.
Since then, some studies based on KBO and TNO orbits but also on the inclination of the solar angular momentum confirm this hypothesis when some others disagree. P9 hunt in archives of visible but also IR surveys had also started and direct observations were scheduled on big telescopes. Up to now (january 2018), nothing came out. In this talk, I will make a review of the pro versus against arguments for P9. I will make also a point on explored surveys and on questions regarding biases in KBO/TNO/comets surveys. I will also give some news about constraints that were given with our planetary ephemerides INPOP: how we had obtained these constraints and what is new with this approach.
