| I will report recent results on the internal structure and dynamics of clusters of galaxies in the redshift range z~0-1, (mostly) based on the spectroscopic surveys OmegaWINGS, CLASH-VLT, GCLASS, and SPT-SZ follow-up. These results have been obtained from the analysis of the distribution of cluster galaxies in projected phase-space, and from the internal dynamics of brightest cluster galaxies. I will discuss the possible implication of these results for the dynamical history of clusters, the evolutionary history of galaxies therein, the nature of dark matter, and the use of clusters as cosmological probes, also in view of the forthcoming Euclid survey. |
