« What will be the next surprise in cosmology? Some guesses. » |

The overwhelming success of the standard LCDM model has motivated the statement that we leave in a “maximally boring universe”. But cosmology has surprised us before. What will be the next surprise in cosmology? I will discuss some guesses. One has to do with the value of the Hubble constant, where local determinations and the value preferred by Cosmic microwave background observations start to differ by an interesting amount. Another possibility may have to do with neutrino properties and their effects on cosmological observables or with the nature of dark matter. |
