There is an analogy between the propagation of fields on a curved spacetime and small excitations in fluids and superfluids. This analogy allows us to test, challenge and verify the processes that allow black holes to lose their mass and angular momentum in tabletop experiments.
I will give a brief overview on analogue black hole experiments, and I will present some of my earlier and more recent experimental and theoretical results on the subject. |
