« The Full Strength of Cluster Lensing » |
Tom Broadhurst |
New techniques for strong and weak lensing are applied to very deep Hubble and Subaru data, uncovering the most massive known lens, and also the largest lensed images discovered to date. Model-independent mass profiles are obtained for relaxed clusters from both weak distortion and magnified background counts, and free from 'dilution', for a meaningful comparison with the standard LCDM model - and although the form of these profiles is NFW-like in shape, the matter concentration is surprisingly high. |
