« Exosystems of Low-mass and Young Stars: The SPIRou Harvest »

Claire Moutou
Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie (Toulouse, France)

Learning about the most nearby planetary systems requires understanding and exploring the specific properties of low-mass stars. This is one of the goals of the near-infrared high-resolution spectro-polarimeter SPIRou installed at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope. It is designed to measure both the stellar magnetic field and the presence of close-in planets and is best adapted for the latest-type stars or the youngest systems. I will describe the way SPIRou operates and review the results obtained since the beginning of the operations, four years ago.
