| We present measurements of the temperature and E-mode polarization angular power spectra of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) from observations covering 4% of the sky with SPT-3G, the current camera on the South Pole Telescope (SPT). Both the power spectra as well as the underlying maps have been rigorously validated through blind and unblind tests. Our measurements of the lensed EE and TE spectra are the most precise to date from l=1800 to l=4000 and l=2200 to l=4000, respectively. In this presentation, we cover the analysis pipeline used to produce and validate the power spectrum measurements as well as their cosmological implications for the standard model and new physics. We present results from SPT data alone and in combination with other CMB experiment and baryon acoustic oscillation data. Finally, we give an overview of ongoing SPT analyses and the future of the experiment. |
