« Dark Matter Searches: Entering a New Era »

Lars Bergstrom
Department of Physics, Stockholm University, AlbaNova University Center (Stockholm, Suède)

The search for particle dark matter, which started some 20 years ago, will soon enter a new era, when data from very ambitious experiments like the CERN/LHC Atlas and CMS experiments, the GLAST/Fermi and PAMELA satellite and the ground-based IceCube, Magic II, HESS II and eventually the large CTA array detectors will be combined with new direct searches based, e.g., on Liquid Xenon detectors to give orders of magnitude better reach into the parameter space of common dark matter models. The talk will give an overview of the reach and complementarity of various methods, and also discuss some new theoretical developments in the field.
