« Testing the content and structure of Gamma-Ray Burst Jets »

There is a general consensus that Gamma-Ray Burst (GRB) emission is produced by energy dissipation within relativistic outflows. In contrast, the form of this energy (magnetic or kinetic energy?) and the structure of the jet (isotropic, collimated, (in)homogeneous jet?..) are highly debated. In this talk I address both issues, looking for possible observational tests that can give answers to these fundamental questions.
