The IAP’s administration is made up of 10 persons (7 permanent and 3 temporary staff).
They work closely with the other administrative departments such as the INSU’s, Sorbonne Université's, and the CNRS’s délégation Paris B.
The IAP’s administrative department supports research activities by managing
permanent and temporary personnel, as well as the finances for all research and support grants.
The front desk and telephone calls are ensured by Cynthia Kuyakula (service provision).
The missions of the systems and network team at the IAP are to maintain, develop and secure all computer equipment and software of the institute. It offers researchers their expertise and assists all personnel in their daily use of computers. The team also plays a part in testing, selecting and making other materials available to IAP employees. It participates in the development of new software and technical tools for various environments and computer languages. It supports researchers in the development and use of scientific applications.
The team is also the bridge between the lab and its public and private computer system partners, in particular for access to the network.
The systems and network team manages all types of operating systems (Linux/Windows/MacOS) and every network component necessary for them to work together
(commutations, routings, access control, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, NAS data server, back-ups).
The team manages email services (SMTP distribution and filtering, IMAP and Webmail presentation, mailing lists).
It also partly runs the service for public outreach (WEB and FTP servers, SVN collaborative development mediums).
