There has been intense interest in how the first stars relate to cosmological reionization in the past decade. I will review our current understanding highlighting in particular the connection between metal enrichment and reionization. I will also discuss the interesting chemical and radiative effects that are relevant in the formation of metal free stars paying special attention to the ones thought responsible for setting their mass. |
