TERAPIX (for “Traitement Elémentaire, Réduction et Analyse des PIxels de MEGACAM”) is the processing center for giant images obtained with the MEGACAM camera installed on the Canada-France-Hawaii telescope. This camera was built to carry out an in-depth survey of the most distant galaxies and stars in the Galaxy. The scientific analysis of these distant data is aimed at studying the evolution of galaxies and the effects of gravitational distortion they undergo as a result of dark.
