IAP symposium

Each year, the IAP organizes an international symposium on a current topic in astrophysics, cosmology or gravitational physics. Many experts come together for a week for these events, and they present their most recent observational or experimental results, as well as their interpretation and the understanding of physics. They also think about the progress they expect to make with future observatories, instruments, computer software and hardware, theoretical developments, and may even introduce and develop new lines of research. Participation is for professionals only, and one must sign up to attend.

Code of conduct

The Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris holds symposia and workshops to provide to its members and the community an opportunity to present and hear about the latest research findings, in a respectful, inclusive, and ethical environment. All participants agree to abide by IAP's code of conduct, and to ensure that the event is free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, and unprofessional or disruptive behavior. In case of concern, please contact a member of the event's organizing staff, or the director of the IAP.
